a wonderful start to idea star singer season 4. hope it becomes better and better day by day. without ranjini and sharath, idea star singer is incomplete. missing didi. the two new sections, prekshaka vidhi and ragabhavam are very good. it gives us more information on music. thanks to asianet and idea star singer. here i feel the viewers are part of the star singer family. i have watched other song-based reality shows but they never gave me such a feeling. wishing the whole idea star singer season 4 best of luck the whole year.
Watch ISS seasons 4.. BUT DON'T SEND SMS...
ISS seasons 4 appears to have really talented singers. If the trend after first three days is considered, at least half of them are outstanding and far ahead of those in ISS in previous years.I am really surprised to see the immense talent these youngsters have. And towards the final stages, ISS 2009 is really going to have tough competition among the contestants.It will be even more tough time for the judges.
The judges panel is outstanding. All three are really competent to give expert comments. The two major negatives I have noted in ISS 2009 are
1. Continuing with Ranjini as the anchor. I don't have anything against Ranjini as an anchor, I think so far she had been brilliant. But her presence now has a "monotonous" effect.It seems that Ranjini herself has realized that people expect a new face. She is showing a lot of awkward face expressions now a days which cannot be tolerated easily.
2. The comments from the audience will soon become another unbearable situation because of the ritualistic, repetitive phrases(he/she sang very well, marks are perfect etc etc).
I thought I will not waste time watching ISS 2009, but now I am sure the high standard will force me to watch this.
Hope Alanfreddy will read this and start watching ISS seasons4. Hope I can see all friends of ISS 2008 here also.

You are correct achuvetta, very talented singers, this show is going to be a mega hit. I love chithra she is very down to earth person,last year only few singers were talented but this time going to be a big competition, the contestants are very smart and also i didnt like the preshakavidhi they should stop that. Friends if you dont start watching, pls watch it dont miss it its a good show.

Both Regi/Achuvettan are correct! I expected a different anchor than Renjini.. since what happend during last season. I felt that the prekshaka vidhi was too repetitious..paranju padippicha pole..and ofcourse it's a waste of time. I really liked the judging panel..and hopefully they'll judge truthfully.. Achuvettan, u're right regarding SMS.. it is a waste to send SMS.. The singers are really superb.. each better than the other.. I agree.. that the final will be really tough.. I felt Thilakan should've gave little more marks to some performances.. Over all i enjoyed it. I didnt like that they brought Navya to inaugurate? They should brought a much better celebrity!!

Anil seems to be a serious matured singer, his roads would be 'turbulent' for,he has less carnatic and Hindustani glitter.
If Chitra madam is there many would select her songs.
Few JINS would appear ,I hope in the next sessions.
Sharatji's comments as also of Sreekuttan's would transform some of the boys, we feel.
Children of the various channels flock now in other channels, and Asianet also has welcomed some of them , I think.
Children forget their academics and flock to various activities in channels,channelized by parents/friends.
It looks good.
For Entertainment.
If many are eliminated at a time, entry=last date in other channels will be over, and they would be desperate.All of them could be improved by comments and advice, about fifty percent of them (24) would become perfect during the span of about one year.
I feel the entire show is scripted like in 2008. There will be 2 to 3 persons who sings average then one or two guys to get SMS from viewers. I think this is program is totally Absurd with a useless anchor
idea star singer is climbing new heights...but sorry to say that its unbearable to hav ranjini again... bcos people r fed up.. u may hav other ideas.. its ok...and thanks for packing off usha didi.. ranjini and usha didi.. the duo was horrible wen it came to the elimination rounds.. and ranjini tooo makes nasty comments..its better that she uses a much more decent language...and please avoid the audience comments at the end of every performence.....let ur programme scale new heights.... but also keep in mind that its kerala and the audience are not fools.. so be a bit more sensible in ur approach this time and its mg sreekumar also back again.. its good to see him tooo but dont allow him to squander marks as he likes as he had done last time to amrita suresh..all the best

i am a viewer of idea star singer daily for a long time. The judges for this year is super especilly chitra. The participants most of them seems to be very talented.Congrats to all of them. Hoping to see more talents.
Please don't waste your money for sending sms for the irresponsibile contestents like Arun Naik, I hope no need to feel sympathy for this kind of contestents.Is this is the continuation of ISS 2008!!I think we need to support only who's dedicating, hardworking and ofcourse talented singers.
What sweta did was absolutely unnecessary..It look like a compliment. She was acting over smart. simply creating unneccessary scenes. Arun Naik should be serious or quit.
Renjini was really good in ISS07 AND 08 but she is really boring this year. Being a good sponsor like idea and top channel in the world like asianet you should really change renjini and find someone. She is really boring and making wierd comments. Thanks to all of you for changing didi. Regarding the judges this year chitra is the best and good to have sreekumar back.

I am a tamilian married to a maharashtrain and I love to hear carnatic music. I understand a little bit of malayalam. One day I just happened to see asianet star singer and from that time I am glued to it. (By the way why did asiant stop retelecasting the prog in the morning at 8 am). I have seen so many music contest, but idea star singer malayalam is the best. This is one contest where the judges are not fighting - they are all very supportive of each other and they give their independent comments and do not interfere with other's judgement and they are all so very down to earth. Another thing, they never talk about X factor - which is what other contest do. Please keep this going. Dont change - dont bring glamour. There is so much of talent amongst malayalees.
And about Ranjini - she is good, innocent and very encouraging to the contestants.
Please do not change the format.

It's really nice experience to watch ISSS4 on vinodasala as the arrangement of videos are very user friendly (name wise). One suggestion, instead of writing 'Idea star singer season 4' you can abbreviate it as ISSS4 so that contestents names will become even more visible.

The idea star singer contest- season-4- The judges Sri.Srikumar &Sri.Sharath are not mature & professional enough to be judges in this kid of contest. Sri.Sri Kumar &Sri.Sharath are good singers & musicians. But they should conduct themselves in a mature & dignified way. Their words, expressions are thoroughly un professinal and even amount to mild 'ragging ' of the young boys and girls contesting. Sri. Sri kumar does not lose any opportunity to boast about his songs, how theywere recorded etc. This is not the venue for all these self aggrandisement sir.
Smt.Usha Uthup was good. Smt.Chitra is also very good.
Sreenath deserves more mark for singing on 3rd Aug Performace

i am really very shocked by seeing M.G Sreekumar's way of behaviour towards the contestants...he should try to behave in a good way and should respect other musicians and singers..what he is thinking of himself...he is not grown up to judge other music directors..musicians and singers are gifted from the god above...plzzzz encourage the young talents..just watch super star 2 and try to learn how to evaluate the contestants...thanksssss
Hai..One thing I really would like to say is that, MG Sreekumar and Sarath both are really unprofessionals in this mega show..You cant keep any idiots just because they make some nasty comments or ragging on the contestants and make some stupid people laugh, even Ranjini also got a habit of laughing loudly when stupid Sarath makes some sarcastic comments on the contestants.Its a programme of music.Sarath and Sreekumar thinks that this programme is about them and never miss an opportunity to say some sarcastic comments to get a laugh from those illiterate audience sit there. Its high time for Asianet to change these judges or give them some warning or instructions of their behaviour.
I totally agree with Manu/Rajesh's comments. Both MG's/Sharath's go overboard..many times.. I really like the way, how Chitra tries to correct each contestant. It is high time that they should change these judges.. especially M.G.

Sri MG sreekumar and Sri Sarath have to be more careful when they are talking nasty comments to these contestants.They have to learn from the munch star judges,and watch how decent they are.all of those 3 judges think that they are the masters and acting like they knows everything.

Idea star sinriencedger is that the same people from other channels that have already reached the finals are being taken again. Thia gives the newcomers a hardtime since everything is new for them. they are not so experienced. People like Nayana,
Sreenath, Jithu and others have an easier going and that Sreenath
is showing off too much!

Actually there are no male contestants with a sweet voice like that of Vivekanand or Rahul of last season.The judges are giving more marks to Joby,Anju and Jayakrishnan.There are however good singing and good voices from the female contestants.They are Preethy,Nayana and Sikha-in that order.The show is projecting Joby too much just because he is a mason.Last time their projection was Somu,a good singer but not the star singer!
The voice of Joby is not at all impressive.Still he is given more marks.Did you listen to his drama song?It was just average!But the drama song by Sreenath was excellant.But the judges gave more marks to Joby!The segmant,Raga bhavam is horrible!Especially the songs by Sarath.Please ask him not to sing at all.He is a useless fellow as is Sreekumar.They have to learn from Venugopal,Chitra and Sujatha.They should listen to the stories told by Muthukad in Munch Star singer.The junior singers are superb!Nobody from the seniors can sing as impressive as Athira,Sweta or Vishnu!Hats off to them!!
Now judges are being very unfair to Joby and Anju! They're not giving good marks.. I hope Joby wins this time.. Like some of u mentioned, ISS need to stop taking contestants frm other shows here.. and it is very unfair to new comers. Judges seems like like they know it all.. and yet Sharath's singing is horrible.. w/ no Sruthi or nothing! Both Raghabhavam segment and loud music b4 judges comments are unnecessary. This show shud be abt the contestants, not abt the judges!!
Regarding Parijatham serial.. I'm reall happy that Seema is back.. I knew that she wud come bak.. She shud kill Auntyamma or try to change womenizing JP.. On EMP, i hope Adarsh wud get back w/ Deepa.. and something really bad wud happen to Glory.

Last time (ISS 2008)lots of regular visitors or commentators (Achuvettan, Dr.Babu, Saji etc...)in this coloumn and presented very valuable comments about each singers. Actually it was a good experience. So friends....hope it's the time to start again here. Our presentation is valuable here... So come and join with me....

He,who has said that the judges are giving undeserving marks to Joby and Anju, is absolutely correct.Joby has a suppressed voice and Anju,a depleted voice.It is also right that there is no pleasing voice from the male contestants.Last season Vivek was superb but inconsistent.He actually deserved it.This time it should be Preethy,if the judges are fair.That kandamrugam,Sarath should be banned from singing.It is horrible.No sruthy,layam or bhaavam!A voice,that of donkey.Devarajan was right when he said that donkeys also sing(the incident was narrated by Sarath himself on his approach to the music director for a chance!)

judges and Asianet are denied giving third prize in 5th round to Shikha.. Actual third prize is Shika, since there is two second prize they denied the third prize. This is injustice done to here

i agree with all the people who feel that joby's voice is not very appealing.Maybe his singing is good in the technical point of view. but its sad that there are no male contestants with the versatality and sweetness of voice like that of vivekanand. Even Akhil's voice is very shaky and light. Better are the voices of sreenath and ajmal. I was very impressed with Ajmal's vaakapoomaram performance. but his later performances werent all that great. Among female contestants, nayana, shikha and preety are good in my opinion.

And Jayaraj, it wasnt judges or asianet who denied the third prize to shikha. it is the sponsors IDEA who has declared 60,000 (ie 30,20,10) to the top three performers. Since there were two 2nd positions, it would have been 10,000 each to two second places and third place.thats y they did that.

Compare to last year,it's very difficult to predict the best singer even in this sixth stage also.I couldn't find out good voice quality for any male contestants like Vivekanand.This time female singers like Nayana, Sreekutty, Shika are best.Nayana's voice and style of singing is very much impressive.
Here, I cannot agree, Raji's opinion about Joby's singing. I really appreciate Joby's hardwork and effort, but surely he'll not be a winner.
In my opinion,Judges have no partiality at all. But sometimes M.G's and Sharat's comments to the contestants are irritating even it's for fun!!

I started seeing the show as I was impressed by the first episode itself ( especially arun naik). But the next round he was not able to perform well.Being his good friend I know he is really doing hard work and now coming back in TOP10.So happy 2 see the show with excellent singers like Arun,Sreenath,Ajmal,Nayana
junior star singer sadhika folk and dance round is very impresive one. other contestants of junior star singer is eaqually good. job of asianet is very inteligent and registering. We expect more from contestants of iss season 4. They are good singer but we expect more.
very true alan..no male contestants to fight for even at the sixth stage. Maybe for the first time a female contestant should become the idea star singer. Also the judges sharath and M.G sreekumar making absurd and unnecessary comments are irritating at times. The sixth stage is interesting though with the comedy round and the other two rounds.

Very good performance from shikha in the vansanthageethangal round.
Was very disappointed to see Ajmal's performance. After being in the danger zone last stage, i thought he would work harder. But this time he hadnt even memorized the lyrics properly. Chitra chechi had mentioned earlier that he is a contestant who studies and performs his work cleanly. but he disappointed her and others by failing to do so this time. He has a good voice. Hope he will work harder and perform consistently from now onwards.
Nayana has also got a clear & strong voice. best wishes for her too.

This stage is quite interesting and happy to see their unity.Good performances from Sreenath, Rahul& Vidhyashankar. Again, Nayana's song and presentation is fabulous. I read Sachitha's comment about Shika's song and Sreenath's performance. Sachitha, I think you are mistaken. In this stage, judges are quite strict for all singers,that we can see in their marks. Sreenath got 78 in Dappamkoothu round. I hope that's worthfull,moreover, Sreenath is a good performer than a singer.
I didn't felt Shika's song is hopeless and also judges are giving marks according to the differences of the rounds too.No doubt, she's a good singer.
Rajesh,Mr.Sharath is the 'main attraction' of 'ISS in all seasons'!!!!!. Without his comedy, what an ISS? I know sometimes it's out of limit, but hope he's really enjoying. So let him energetic. Whatever it's surely we should appreciate his contributions in Music.

i dont know why judges are prizing srinath somuch. i think he is better singer only in Tamil song. But classical and other malayalam song performace his is poor.
i object sachitha and family remarks about shikha. That "sarikay"
song she sung very well. I think sachittah have less knowledge in classical songs. Shikka's classical knowledge is uncompetatble.

People those who comment on voice, ask yourself, if you are in these contestants place, whether you will be able to perform as they do with their God given voice. Encourage them to sing well than condemning about their voice and positions in the soceity. Be positive than being negative.
I REALY SAD TODAY 2.11.2009 BY GIVING JUDGES MARKAS OF 73 TO SHIKHA. THE JUDEGES INSULTED HER BY GIVING THIS MARKS. SHE IS GOOD SINGER AND SHE SUNG VERY BEAUTIFULLY. I DONT KNOW WHAT IS JUDGES THINKING BY GIVING LESS MARLKS TO PROTECT SOMEBODY.

i didnt feel judges insulted or unnecessarily reduced shikhas marks. they gave valid reasons for the marking. her lower notes were hardly audible like they mentioned. when she sang sharike well, they gave her good marks and for this performance also they gave what she deserved. she is surely one of the best female singers in the show, but that is not the criteria. the marks are given based on what they perform in that given 4 mins. And please mention whom are the judges trying to protect??? there is not a single contestant who has been getting good marks continuously. just because you like somebody doesnt mean u have to support her even if she performs badly. please be reasonable. no offence please. please understand that shikha is one of my favourite contestants too.
As Saranyambika mentioned, I did felt like Shikha deserved more marks.
I was reall happy to watch Much star singers vs. ISS 09. It was a reall good show.. Renjini does have a good voice (she's trying to use fake english accent in btw.. other than that it was reall nice). It's nice to see ISS is filled w/ ppl w/ different talents. I hope the best person will win!!

The contestant Neethu sang So horrible. That song Pulayanar Maniamma is so famous and she sang it so awful and Chithra gave her so many marks. Some singers no matter how well the sing judges

i am a regular viewer of ISS. the comment which i am having is the vulgarism in performance is increasing day by day. expecially ur contestant Rahuls performance. one boy dressed as a girl with semi dresses and danced in the stage. try to avoid such type of performances. please screened it before participating in the stage

IT IS VERY SAD THAT MANY OF THE PARTICIPANTS GO FOR TAMIL SONGS, WITH BLACK COLOUR IN THEIR CONSTUMES AND THE SAME DITTO THIRD RATE DANCES OF SOME OF THE TAMIL MOVIES.
RECENTLY I HAD A CHANCE TO OBSERVE THE PROGRAMME OF UDIT NARAYAN AND HIS TROUPE IN ERNAKULAM. THE COSTUME SHOULD HAVE BEEN AN EYE OPENER FOR THE YOUNGSTERS OF KERALA.
IN JUNIOR MUNCH STAR IT IS SLIGHTLY BETTER.I THINK ASIA NET STUDIO HAS IN STORE PLENTY OF BLACK CLOTHES/COSTUMES.
IT IS A HOBBY FOR THE YOUNG MALAYALEE CHILDREN TO GO FOR THE TAMIL MOVIES AND THEIR DANCE WHICH IS NOT VERY MUCH SUITED FOR THE MALAYALM GROUPS.
NO GOOD/OUTSTANDING HINDI SONG/GHASAL/QWALI /MAPPILAPPATTU COULD BE HEARD FROM THE BOYS AND GIRLS.THEY SHOULD BE GUIDED TO IMPROVE SO THAT THEY COULD COME IN LINE WITH ANY OTHER SINGERS OF INDIA .

The fellow who sang with 98%perfection was given just 87%!We must understand that this is a show only.Every thing but Sarath singing is good.He knows not that he knows not singing.

sorry to say that the judging panel's are not as expected, in some ways sreekumar and sarath are good, but usually they r insulting the contestants. they have to think ,they cant do what the contestant done in the previous episodes. they are singing and dancing at the same time

Idea star singer is one the best programmes of asianet. Malayalees from all over the world watch this enthusiastically.Ranjini should wear good costume which is suitable for Kerala's culture. For example during the celebration of 150th episode she was without blouse.

I really agree w/ what Raju said abt Joby. He's a versatile singer.. Some contestants wud dance 2much and ends up messing upthe song..and viceversa.. But Joby's last perform.. on this stage just shows how good he is!! It's a tough job to sing/dance. If he wasnt that gud he wouldnt be in the top position!!

About Ranjini's dressing - Kerala is united with mixture of culture and different dress style. So I think Ranjini's dressing is apt sometimes she wear modern as well as Indian saree and salwar.
I don't know why people are commenting so much about Renjini's dress. I don't think Asianet will allow inappropriate dressing in a programme of such a wide publicity. Saw somebody's comment in 150th episode she was without blouse, need to be dress in Kerala style...For your info, traditional kerala culture was wearing dhoti without blouse in olden days.
Among contestants, Joby is a talented singer, Preethi is the most presentable female singer.

Even I felt like, Joby was put down!! He shud be treated as anyother contestant in ISS. Now a dayz, MG finds some contestants and try to dig into their personal life.. He always mention that Prekshakar wud like to know? Like who, maybe some noisy w/ no life of their own? I cannot understand why viewers are after Joby being a Mason. He is a good singer. He has been the Light music first prize winner of Calicut University for many years. That does speak for Joby's calibre. He is well educated. And above all he willing to work hard for his family. We should applauding that and the singer in him. Not his profession. And it will not be long when a Mason will earn more money that some silly white collar jobs ... Its good to remember that we still honour Mahatma Gandhi as the father of our nation, who did not feel belittled to clean a washroom in his Sabarmati Ashram. So in short the person matters more than the profession.

I don't understand why people support Sreenath , so much , he was on kairali tv reality show and he won a car. People like him, Anju, Shikha are from other reality shows who stood top and are competing, this gives the other new contestants like joby, sharath, preethi and others less of an edge as the others already know how to perform as well since they have experience. Sreenath does not sing malayalam songs well, ex cept those vijay type of songs!

I watched the show on 13-Jan-09 and absolutely I was ashamed because of your comments on Joby and Sarath. you used "Eenampechik marappati koottu". what you think about contestants? waht purpose you are assigned for? judgment or ransacking? I think music is devine and all musicians (especially Judges) must have a quality. you may think such comments as a joke. but this is not a joke, this is insulting and too much, you have to be aware on what you are expressing. you and Mr.Sarath, sometimes using words of vey low standard and such comments will make the contenstants discouraged and hurted a lot. so please don't cross the limits and be concious about the words. let me say Mss K S Chitra is very cute and brilliant for this Job.

I live in california,U.S.A . My family and friends are regular viewers of ISS from when it strted..The program is successful and asianet is going on heights because of this show. But the judges m.G.s and sarath along with renjini makes the entire show weird with stupid comments. The talented youth participants are on the stage for proving their talent and to improve the same ; not to listen to the idiotic comments by sharath and renjini( who acts like master of all). The contestants are from different backgrounds and families. This may hurt many of them and Im glad that Rahul was very frank to M.G.S that his comments were hurting. They can make fun of people when they are back stage or offline..atleast the organisers of this program should carefully remove such comments from telecasting. There are many talented anchors in Kerala..asianet can watch surya tv or "WE" channel for smart anchors with good malayalam accent ( atleast with decent comments). as ths is an one hour show..the anchor plays an important role..If you hav a good anchor ( looks and talk) ,this wud be the best show ever. Asianet should take a positive action towards all these comments as you can seee many of the viewers dont like the anchor and certain comments by the judges......

EVERY JUDGE HAS VIEWS AND,EXPRESSIONS JOY AND REGRET,ADMIRATIONS CALCULATIONS OF THEIR OWN.
WE CANNOT SAY UMPIRE IS WRONG.
PLAYERS MAY GO WRONG.
YOUNG SINGERS ARE TAKING IT IN GOOD SPIRITS.
THE JUDGES ARE USING VERY MUCH POLISHED AND SWEET WORDS SOMETIMES.
ON SOME OCCASIONS WE FEEL THEY SHOULD HAVE AVOIDED THAT TINGE OF EGO.
WE SHOULD NOT MAKE IT AS AN EASY CAKE WALK TO REACH AT THE TOP.

The judges are complimenting too much on Akhil,Joby,Anju and Danny-all of them having irritating voice!The rounds on each stage are disappointing.No mention of Vayalar,P.Bhaskaran,Devarajan,Baburaj,Yesudas,Suseela,Janaki,Mohammed Rafi,Kishore,Shankar-Jaikishan....or many other musicians.But there are Ilayaraja,Rehman,MG Sreekumar ,Chitra etc.There are rounds on Tamil songs in every stage-be it called adipoli,ilayaraja or rehman but no no hindi songs!The show has become a nuisance with less talented singers and judges with the exception of Chithra and the orchestra!

This time there is some tough competition going on in ISS4.That's quite interesting.Joby, Sharath,Sreenath and Vidyasankar are all singing very well.Joby and Sreenath were exceptionally outstanding in their overall performances, and this makes ISS4 different from the previous years.
Among the female contestants Preethy,Nayana, Shikha are on top. Anju had some outstanding performances, but sometimes was miserable. My humble 'NAMASTHE' to Chithra chechi who is a wonderful human being.So happy to see her here at ISS.We really missed her in the previous years.All judges are doing their job very well, I think. They are able to clarify convincingly the mistakes and appears unbiased.(Unlike Venuchettan's performance last year!)My God! I hope our senior film star Sukumari chechy "the great" will not come as celebrity guest again.
Our friend Dr.John Jacob has made some interesting comments.Let me quote that"--Joby so much.He is just a singer but ...nowhere near Preethy,Sreenath,Nayana or Sikha.His voice is pathetic.....rough voice of Sarath and pathetic voice of Jobi...Pathetic,depressed and dry voice like that of Joby should be neglected." !!!
I have two doubts..
1)Why do you compare male singers and female singers together?
2)Is there any problem with the Audio of your TV set? ( I sincerely hope that you are not listening to the show in something like Nokia E or N series!)
And MG sir said "Eenampechikku marappatti koottu". I too thought the same when I saw the comments of Aiswarya Ernakulam after Dr.John Jacob's comments.(....Better Joby goes to a street and beg.) What else can we say to comments of this genre!!!

I do watch ISS regularly and I think its nice to have your personal opinions of the stars but dont judge a person.there r paid judges who r in the position coz of their acheivements.dont criticize a singer....if u dont like him/her its ur problem...and regarding Dr John Jacob...ur a Dr would u like a lay person to do ur job.....so singing is not ur profession....if u r by any chance ...which i really doubt...
sing a song is a gift of god. contestant of star singer should sing their song with full dedication, not for judges. they are very wellknown.shall understand real role of Asianet. Steadiness,cent persentange dedication is essential.
One more good show by joby, anju & shikha but we really missed the sweatness of vivek, rahul of previous edition. this show is rich with variety of voices but lagging in perfection. however iss is a better show compared to other channels. good going keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Achuvetta, nice to see here again. Last few weeks I didn't get time to open this site and even watch ISS regularly. It's very interesting to see lots of people are making valuable comments here. But this time my favourite contestents are Nayana, Shika, Preethy & Vidhyashankar. Joby's singing is good but I don't feel good voice quality. Nayana's singing and voice is fabulous. Anyway good luck for all singers in ISS4.
Why no body is saying anything about Vidya Shankar? I would say he has the best voice among male contestants in this years competition. He proved that in stage 9. He is a versatile singer also. If he can concentrate more he would surely be there for grand finale

This has reference to Achuvettan's remarks.Achuvettan's doubt about comparison of male and female singers:1.I think this is a common competition reality show for both and hence the comparison.There will only be one 1st prize and hence we should compare.2.I don't think that there is any problem with my TV set.It is as good as anyone's .I definitely believe that voice should be considered while assessing the qualities of a singer.We know that there are better musicians than Yesudas.But no comparison when it comes to his voice and hence his greatness!It is not my TV's fault that I feel Joby's voice suppressed and pathetic.There are no male contestants with a sweet voice like that of Vivek,Rahul or Jins of last season.That is the fact.So let us try to identify the best singer (whether rich or poor) and not the poor man.Hence I reiterate that Preethy,Nayana and Sikha are far better singers than Joby,Danny and Anju.We have seen that Najeem was given the first prize in 2007 when Durga was the deserving one.So there may be no surprise if a less talented singer is adjudged as the best singer!

Dear friends,please watch super star /gandharva sangeetham of amrita/kairali.Those shows have become better.In ISS4 the real problem is the selection of rounds.No hindi songs so far.The song of Vivek in the last season-theri thsweer .......still reverberates in my mind!The second reason is lack of talent and sweet voice.I am sure that Sweta ,the munch star singer would have been idea star singer,had she been in ISS4!The only saving grace in ISS4 is the orchestra.Even Chithra seems taken away by emotions as she seems sympathetic towards Jobby,Anju and Akhil.
In this season i like preethy the best. And also l like to see nayana,sreenath,shikha and joby in the final.
why no comments on vishnu. he is a good singer definitely better than akhil sarath and joby. but I feel nobody is promoting him. his thruvathira thiraneekkiya gramama was very good . but shocked to hear MGs comments why this partiallity towards this boy. is it because he is a quiet guy. he sang well in last danger zone ...omkara nadanu. but he was not given life line.... i cant understand why..why

What happend to Danny? I thought it was another drama like vivek's, but they didnt make it worse!! Hope he wont get eliminated, he deserves a 2nd chance similar to Vivek frm last ISS!! Judges shud refrain frm obscene comments!! Nayana is a gud singer, but she was in another program b4. So, some1 else shud be promoted!!
The attitude of the judges is irritating.Eventhough Jobby's tamil melody song was full of lyric mistakes and without sruthi they gave 75 marks after pointing out the mistakes.But the judges pointed out no mistake in Sreenath's tamil song.But they gave only 70 marks.why?Jobby with his penury tag gets more sms!This is no talent hunt but penury hunt and sympathy hunt!We are made fools.In the munch star singer also,Sadhika deserved the second place and Vishnu krishnan,third.(no doubt Swetha deserved the 1st )But Athira(she is a good singer-no doubt about it)was given second,because she is from a poor family.
